With a nod to the past, the SoHo Grand Hotel's lobby features a suspended cast iron stairway to the second floor and is cutting-edge chic, with 16-foot windows draped with muslin and velvet, a mercury glass ceiling unexpectedly accented with chicken wire and upholstered pieces in a mix of textiles.
