Location. The Shanty Creek Resort and Club at Cedar River Village is located on Michigan's Lower Peninsula in Bellaire, Mich. The property is nestled among 4,500 rolling, heavily-pined acres and is adjacent to 72 holes of championship golf and 49 downhill skiing runs on Schuss and Summit Mountains.
Hotel Features. During winter seasons the hotel promotes snow sports such as downhill and cross-country skiing, snow tubing, snowshoeing and sleigh-riding. Summer months highlight water sports, biking, geo-caching and an outdoor movie theater. The hotel offers complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Cedar River Village offers two restaurants. La Vigna is open for dinner only and features classic Italian cuisine served fireside. Weiskopf's Grill overlooks the golf course and serves casual American fare. A complimentary shuttle transports guests between the three Shanty Creek Resort properties. Ski slopes, restaurants and the Fitness Center and Wellness Spa, offering an exercise room, massages, wraps, facials and body treatments, are a five to 10 minute ride away.
Guestrooms. The 86 guestrooms of this mountain resort include windows that open and balconies with views of the forest or Cedar River Golf Course. Bold, jewel-toned bedding contrasts wooden furniture and earthy sage hues peppered throughout the rooms. Living spaces include sofa beds, overstuffed arm chairs and gas fireplaces. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are provided. Bathrooms feature jetted tubs. Complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available.

Cedar River Village and Schuss Village will be closed until December 19, 2009. Guests arriving prior to December 19, 2009, will be given accommodations in Summit Village and will be upgraded to a unit similar to the booking for Cedar River Village or Schuss Village at no additional expense. Check-in will be at Summit Village for all guests until these two villages re-open for the 2009-2010 ski season.
A three-night minimum stay will be required December 26 - 30, 2009. No booking of arrivals or departures will be made on December 31, 2009. Contact the property for additional details.
