Originally built in 1940, Ocean Surf Hotel has always been a casual beachfront sanctuary in Miami Beach. This Art Deco hotel is two miles from the sophisticated Bal Harbour Shops, linked by Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The famous South Beach is just a matter of five miles. Guests are greeted each morning with a complimentary Continental breakfast each morning on a patio located outdoors to afford views of the ocean. The location was good.

What we got was an old, mold-smelling hotel.Beds were terrible.The rooms are filthy and smell really bad. The sheets had hair in them.There were spiders in the room and the blankets were replaced every 3 or 4 days.Neighbors bothered all night, slamming doors. The staff is incompetent and most of them speak very little english.
