Location. The Cheeca Lodge & Spa is located on 27 acres of gardens in Islamorada, Fla. The Theater of the Sea, less than three miles away, allows visitors to swim with dolphins, sea lions and stingrays, or snorkel in the coral reef.
Hotel Features. Known as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World," Islamorada boasts more than 600 species of fish in the surrounding waters. Culinary artists at the hotel prepare guests' catches to order. Fine dining is offered at Atlantic's Edge, featuring indoor and outdoor seating, panoramic views of the ocean and an array of fresh seafood. The casual, open-air Ocean Terrace Grill offers grilled specials, sandwiches and an extensive children's menu. The Curt Gowdy Lounge serves a light menu and generous libations. The hotel offers a 4,000-square-foot conference center with business services and wireless Internet access.
