Loved the Sofitel. They went out of their way to help us in any way we asked. Room service is quick and good. Hotel is within walking distance to all of the monuments and museums. Would stay again.

The Hotel Sofitel is a good choice if you want to be near the White House and surrounding area. The hotel is about two blocks from the White House and about a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Washington Monument. The closest Metro station is about a block away. There are also two CVS pharmacies, two Starbucks, and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity along with a NY style deli just up the street. The hotel is in the small to medium size range with a small lobby that contains a small business center and a nice restaurant and a lounge/bar area. The hotel is in a historic building, so there is no pool, and only a small gym in the basement area. Our room was very nice with modern ammenities and comfortable king size bed. The staff was excellent. The overall atmosphere here is refined and classy, perfect for couples as it is quite, Overall this is a good choice.

This is the perfect hotel when you are going to visit DC. Location is great very close to the White House and all other attractions. the hotel is beautiful, love the room with a bath AND a shower, I mean, you can take a shower and your wife or girlfriend can take a bath in the same time. The staff very polite and super nice. This hotel is a must when you visit DC. Thanks hotels.com
