The hotel is what I would expect from a "budget" hotel. The room was clean and the linens laundered, but everything was old and a little yucky compared to the Business Traveler style hotels I am accomstomed to. The location is only a few miles from downtown DC. If you're on a budget and want to be inside the beltline, then I would recommend this hotel.

The Motel 6 is a no frills hotel in NW DC. The hotel is perfect for someone that's watching their money and not interested in staying in a nice hotel. This motel is not walking distance to the metro, even thought it states that it is close to a metro on the internet. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to TAKOMA station. Again you get what you pay for from this hotel!!

On the first night there was no maid service, on the second night the maid made the bed then sat and had a cigarette in our non-smoking room
