The beds were the most confortable beds we have ever slept in. Washington DC is a city where you do a lot of walking and if you are visiting musuem all day and want a good nights rest to continue the next day of sightseeing this is the hotel for you. The rooms are a little small, but the good night sleep you will get will be worth it. Very cozy. It looks like an old new york brown stone when you first approach it. Not a hotel to stay in all day. It was a good experience.

My family and I loved it here! The room was small, but was clean and the continental breakfast was excellent! It was a short walk to several Metro stations and not much farther of a walk to the White House and/or the National Mall. I would definitely recommend the District Hotel to anyone wanting to see DC on a limited budget. It's not the best hotel though for those looking for perfection. You get what you pay for and I have no complaints.
