The location of the hotel is in a wonderful neighborhood, with the Metro 1 block away, wonderful restaurants, grocery and liquor stores nearby. The room was great--comfy beds, small but nice bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone (except people who like to complain no matter what!)

Our room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Also appreciated the comfy chair for sitting. But the curtains were not designed to be closed for privacy. This was annoying...too much sun in the morning. We liked the handy parking garage right next door, even at the cost it was very handy. We liked the neighborhood a lot, with restaurants nearby and just a short walk to the metro station. You can stroll the nearby residential neighborhood. The hotel is easy to find and we had no trouble with traffic coming and going. There is no complementary breakfast, though, and the coffee offered in the lobby was very poor. We visited the Starbucks next to the metro. Overall, we were pleased with this hotel and wonder why it is only a 2 star. We will use it again when we visit D.C. The hotel was very nice and the location is great HOWEVER, my credit card was billed even though I had paid through Hotels.com and it took a lot of trouble to get it recredited. Then it was a little over a dollar less than was billed. A small amount, I know, but a very high irritation factor. They wouldn't return my calls and the bank had to finally take action. |

OK-Value-And-Interesting-Neighborhood Still can't understand why it's not possble to get a decent room for under a hundred bucks a night, but there you are. All things considered, this experience was fine. Very nice Connecticut Ave. neighborhood -- Giant Grocery 5 mins away and plenty of sandwich bars and other stuff (including the zoo) within easy walking distance. If I had to spend the rest of my life there, I could do (and may yet do) much worse The hotel need to be more handicapped equipped. It is hard for someone in a wheelchair |
