Location. Located on Embassy Row in Washington, D.C., the Beacon Hotel stands three blocks from Dupont Circle and the Foggy Bottom District. The hotel is four blocks from the White House and the Red Line at Farragut North Metro Station. Ronald Reagan National Airport is five miles away.
Hotel Features. The contemporary lobby features marble and wood floors, leather couches, and a flat-screen television. The lobby and restaurant areas contain glass pieces designed by Chihuly. The retro-modern Beacon Bar Grill serves American dishes and features a two-story lounge and open-air patio. The Walter Gagliano-designed dining room is reminiscent of a 1930s ocean liner. The Beacon Hotel offers 10,000 square feet of function space. The business center houses two computer stations. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. The hotel includes a 24-hour fitness room with headphones for the television-mounted cardiovascular machines.
Guestrooms. The Beacon Hotel's guestroom design is inspired by that found in New York City studios. Contemporary décor features bold color schemes and beds draped beneath 300-thread count sheets and down duvets. Rooms contain mahogany-grain wood tables and leather chairs. Stayed for labor Day holiday.Good location, great brunch and helpful staff.Need to use street parking to avoid $30 fee which is ok over holiday weekend.Room good but sink leaked at the plug anbd TV channels did not match the room instructions. They have a roof top bar which sounded great but on the day we planned to go it rained so did not bother. Recommend it if you get a good price. Good quality experience

The location is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of at least 12 eateries and entertainment. The hotel workers are very helpful and courteous. The restaurant somewhat pricey. The bathroom area could have been roomier

Thin walls, loud guests, and room pictures not representative of condition or newness of room. No better than a Holiday Inn

Beacon Hotel far exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a suite (with fireplace) and that was awesome. Very modern, with full kitchen and eating/rest area.At no extra charge... We could have stayed there a week or more. The room rate was half of what a NYC hotel would charge and the suite was superb, with panoramic views of Washington. Service was great, concierge folks were very cordial. Valet parking was prompt and friendly. Location top notch. Only caveat was a guest on our floor lit up cigarettes in their room against policy and that made it uncomfortable for everyone. Smoke smell infiltrated our room.
