I mean, it's no palace or anything. And yes, there's paint chipping off the walls, but how do you not expect that for the ridiculously low price? I guess if you have kids that's a big deal, but aesthetics are just not important--saving money is. It was clean, and a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be frankly. The guy at the front desk was pretty cool too, so I can't complain. Like I said, I was expecting A LOT worse. Not too shabby, and definitely not for the price.

I would never stay at this hotel again it needs alot of maintance and a better clerk

Ideal for budget travelers, at the edge of a small historic residential area and just across the bridge (5 min walk) from the start of historic downtown shopping, restaurants, parks. Minor issues in light of value: small TV, no 3-prong sockets (but front desk provided adapter on request), cleaner disregarded "do not disturb" (but front desk kept our bags all day after check-out -- and refused a tip!).

There was a hole in the wall. The room smelled of urine. The curtains didn't close all the way, but thankfully there was some old gum stuck to the wall that I used to hold the curtains closed. Lastly, I had to wrestle with the door to get it to latch.

Sure I was dismayed that the room had a terrible mattress, no grounded outlets, and seemed to be in total decay, but the fact of the matter is, if you only need a place to sleep that's close to downtown Denver, this place is it. The hotel staff was really nice (letting me borrow an adapter for the outlet so I could plug in my laptop), the wireless was free, and the place was quiet. If you aren't picky about a place being a little run down, Budget Host isn't a bad deal at all.

The hotel is old and smells musty, we had to chase T-paper & towels. We new from the price it would not be 4 star. But I will not go back. The location is why we picked the hotel, we were at the Pepsi Center. Nice walk to the center.

I like the location of the hotel. Location to downtown 5 minutes, close to all major attractions and centrally located within Denver for easy travel in any direction.

This hotel was in a state of disrepair.

For the money the hotel was fine. Room was clean.

Small TV, no 3-prong sockets.

For a bed, shower and cable tv, I was satisfied.

The air conditioner didn't put out much cool air.
