Location.  The Midtown Hotel is located in Istanbul, Turkey, 500 metres from the Atatuerk Cultural Centre and 600 metres from Istiklal Street with its restaurants, cafes, and shops. Sirkeci railway station is four kilometres from the hotel.

Distance to the Midtown Hotel Istanbul is 25 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.

Getting there.  Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost approximately 1 TRY. The Havas Airport bus departs every 30 minutes for the main bus terminal and Taksim Square, in central Istanbul. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Bus number 96 runs between the airport and the city centre, and a shuttle bus runs to the port. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; prices are set, and the fare from Istanbul Airport to the hotel is 22 EUR. At night, there is a 50 per cent surcharge. The hotel also offers airport transfer at a surcharge. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around.  Istanbul's extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks prior to boarding. Istanbul's yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a 'dolmus' (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.
