The Hotel Giktis is a modern white All-Inclusive resort hotel situated in Sangho and set directly on a private sandy beach, 15 kilometres from Zarzis centre. The property features 380 air-conditioned guestrooms housed in two low-level buildings grouped around landscaped gardens and the two swimming pools. Guestrooms are simply decorated in a Tunisian style with light colours, and have balconies, cable TV, Internet access, phones and minibars.
Guests can spend relaxing days by one of the two large freshwater swimming pools, bronzing on the sun terraces and sipping cool drinks from one the three hotel bars. The main buffet restaurant serves regional and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also hosts theme buffet nights. There is also a beach club for refreshments, and barbeques are served at both the poolside and on the beach. Guests can enjoy free access to three tennis courts, volleyball, petanque, mini-golf and a games room with table tennis and pool. The health-conscious can swim laps in the indoor heated pool, or guests can relax with an afternoon coffee in the Turkish style café or catch up with the latest news in the TV room. The hotel's private stretch of sandy beach has sun beds and straw parasols available free of charge and there are water sports including water skiing, pedal boats, jet skiing, windsurfing, sailing and motor boating (surcharges apply). Other nearby activities include horseback riding and cycling; bicycles can be hired on site (surcharge). In the evening entertainment includes live folklore shows, or guests can dance the night away in the disco. Internet access is available in the lobby for those who want to keep in touch with friends and family and further practical amenities include a hairdresser, safety deposit box, currency exchange, laundry facilities, and free on site parking. Djerba Airport is 50 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.
