Location. Nova Platinum Hotel is located in Pattaya, Thailand. The hotel is a block from the city center and the Walking Street nightlife area, and one-half kilometer from Pattaya Beach and its pier. It is also one kilometer from the Avenue Boutique Shopping Center.
Hotel Features. Nova Platinum Hotel features a freeform outdoor pool with a water slide. The pool is lined with rocks and tropical greenery. The pool area also includes a poolside swim-up bar, a spa tub and a tropical garden. The poolside bar serves tropical drinks and snacks from mid-morning to early in the evening. Massage services also are available, and the hotel has a fitness center. Zia Restaurant, overlooking the pool and garden, serves international cuisine from early morning till late night. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining sections and includes a bar.
Guestrooms. The six-story hotel's 78 guestrooms are decorated in a contemporary style in colors of white, orange and brown. All guestrooms have hardwood floors, and all offer views of the pool and garden. Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, CD and DVD players, 32-inch flat-screen televisions with both cable and satellite channels and international direct-dial phones. Rooms also include coffee and tea makers, refrigerators, minibars and complimentary bottled water. Desks and chairs and safes are also offered in guestrooms.
Expert tip. The pier at Pattaya Beach is popular as a departure point for scuba divers traveling to both nearby and more remote islands. The area dive shops are well-equipped and reasonably priced. Preferred locations for diving are the islands of Ko Sak and Ko Krok and the more remote Ko Man, Wichai and Ko Rin.
