Expert Tip. Erawan Shrine, an extremely popular Bangkok tourist attraction, houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai interpretation of the Hindu god of creation, Brahma. The four-faced figure is seated between two columns of brightly-colored mosaic. Vandalized in 2006, the statute was rebuilt with plaster, gold, bronze, other metals and pieces of the old statue. Thai dance troupes frequently perform at the shrine.
