Built in the 1960s, the Drachen Hotel has been reinvented as a 'fine-art' hotel in central Basel's museum district, nine kilometres from the airport. The hotel has 43 guestrooms which feature 'Wonders of the Modern and Ancient World' murals by 14 Spanish artists, from the Taj Mahal to the Great Pyramid.
