The Samba is a resort hotel built in 1971 set in gardens in the seaside town of Lloret de Mar, 500 metres from sandy beaches on Spain's Costa Brava. The 377 guestrooms are spread over six floors and have simply-styled decor, modern furnishings and open onto balconies. All feature satellite television, safes and direct-dial phones. Cribs are available on request as are wake-up calls.
The hotel boasts its own 20-metre pool with landscaping and a large terrace with sunbeds. In high season there is a poolside bar and for the children, a kids' club with plenty of activities to keep them happy. There is a games room and a pool table and a television in the lobby. The Santa Cristina Hermitage, a church dating from 1376, is one kilometre from the hotel while the Waterworld theme park is also one kilometre away. Blanes railway station is six kilometres from the hotel while Gerona Airport is 30 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
