Location. The Hotel Elba Calorta is located in the island of Fuerteventura, Spain, facing a private sandy beach in one direction and the island's only 18- hole golf course in the other. It is six kilometres from the airport.
Hotel Features. The hotel was completed in 2007 and has extensive landscaped grounds leading to the beach and a series of freshwater swimming lakes connected by a stream.
The Hotel Elba Calorta has a restaurant on the terrace facing the sea which serves lunch and dinner al fresco. There is also an indoor buffet restaurant where a complimentary buffet breakfast is served. A swim-up poolside bar serves drinks and light snacks, while the indoor bar specialises in cocktails.
The hotel has a fully-equipped congress centre with facilities for up to 1000 conference delegates. Audio-visual equipment and full business services are available.
In addition to the swimming lakes, there are two outdoor pools, one for children. A kids' club offers entertainment and childcare. There is a fitness zone with sports equipment and exercise classes, a beach volleyball area and a shopping mall just a few metres away. Guests can try out different water sports or play golf on the extensive course.
Guestrooms. The 346 air-conditioned guestrooms all have balconies, most with sea views. Rooms also have satellite television, minibars and wireless Internet access.
Expert Tip. Warm winds often blow up to Fuerteventura from the Sahara, making the island a great place to try windsurfing.
