Location. Facing the ocean, Luzmar Villas is an small hotel set between the villages of Luz and Burgau, seven kilometres west of Lagos. Faro Airport (FAO) is 92 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Comprised of four white villas bordering a large swimming pool, the hotel's relaxed ambience attracts guests seeking sunshine, rest, and the opportunity to explore the western Algarve. Surrounded by sunbathing terraces and set in flowering gardens, the 33-metre pool includes a separate children's section at one end. Darts and table tennis are available on a covered terrace and bowling is played on the lawn. Board games and a computer with high-speed Internet access (surcharge) are available in the living room.

Luzmar Villas is two kilometres from Luz Beach, a 300-metre stretch that ends with a 200-metre cliff. Seven kilometres east of the hotel, independent operators offer water sports in summer on Lagos Beach. There are three golf courses within a 12-kilometre radius. The nearest is Boavista, 4.5 kilometres away.

Expert Tip. Two kilometres from the hotel, a marble-paved promenade extends along Luz Beach. Strollers contemplating the ocean can miss a small opening in the stone wall on the promenade's land side that leads to Roman-bath ruins.
