The Hotel Montechoro is a large modern resort hotel built on a hill, 1.5 kilometres from the sea and beach at Praia da Oura and eight kilometres from Albufeira. The 362 air- conditioned guestrooms, spread over 10 floors, have light decor with fabrics and carpets in warm colours. Driving Directions - Montechoro
Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building; typical fares to Albufeira are 35-45 EUR. Buses can also be caught outside the terminal building. AEROBUS provides a shuttle service between the airport and Faro city centre daily (except Tuesday) in high season. For exploring the Algarve region, it is best to hire a car.
Driving directions: From Spain, Faro and Faro Airport, follow the A22 (Via do Infante) and take the Albufeira exit. Follow the IC1. After 1.5 kilometres, take the direction to Albufeira (395) and Faro (E.N.125) taking the E.N.125 in the direction of Faro. Ignore the exit to Albufeira/Ferreiras (395). After 3 kilometres, at the first traffic lights, change direction to the right Montechoro/Albufeira, in the direction of Montechoro. The Hotel Montechoro is along this road after 2.5 kilometres.
