The Vila Gale Praia is a couple-oriented 'Ambience and Wellness' hotel set in extensive gardens, 120 metres from the beach and six kilometres from Albufeira. The three- floor property features 40 air-conditioned guestrooms with smart, contemporary decor, white linen, leather furnishings and caramel tones. All rooms extend to furnished balconies and contemporary bathrooms with bathrobes and slippers; rooms also include minibars, flatscreen televisions with cable channels, and DVD/CD players (discs are provided free of charge through reception).
On arrival guests are seated and presented with a refreshment towel and welcome drink, whilst the hotel also offers an extensive breakfast service until 11 a.m. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy massage treatments and beauty therapies in the hotel spa (surcharge). There is a daily surcharge for access to the health spa area, including the sauna, large hot tub with panoramic garden views, Turkish bath, and gym. A large palm-fringed swimming pool is sprawled across the hotel's manicured main lawn, and offers loungers for sunbathers and a splash pool for younger children. In the evenings guests can relax beside the fire in the lobby lounge, play cards and snooker in the games room, and mingle over cocktails in the bar. The beach is just 120 metres away for water sports, swimming and sunbathing and golfers will find the 18-hole Salgados Golf Course two kilometres from the hotel. The hotel also offers a shuttle to Albufeira for those who want to browse the shops and experience the town's bustle. Local attractions include Zoomarine, an amusement park and sea life centre, seven kilometres away, the Aqualand water park and the Castle at Silves, both 20 kilometres away. Portimano, a town offering good shopping and restaurants, is 36 kilometres away. Faro Airport is also 36 kilometres, and a 40 minute drive form the hotel.
