Location. Located on the picturesque Prinsengracht canal, with its unspoilt, 17th-century architecture and quaint cobbled streets, the Dikker and Thijs Fenice hotel is set in a renovated 17th-century building, 50 metres from Leidseplein. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) is 20 kilometres away, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Hotel Features. Each morning guests can enjoy a Dutch buffet breakfast (surcharge) in the atmospheric dining room, featuring original stained-glass windows, turn-of-the- century dark wood furnishings and a ceiling characterised by exposed wooden beams and Venetian chandeliers. Getting there. There is a railway station in the airport terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall. From Centraal Station, trams number 1, 2 and 5 stop in front of the hotel. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles. Guests arriving by car can use a private garage located 300 metres from the hotel (EUR 32 per day)
Driving directions. From the airport take the A10 heading towards Zaandam, turn right into S-106 Osdorp, then take the fourth light on the left across bridge. At T-junction turn left into Nassaukade, take first traffic light on the right, then straight on to Passeerdersgracht until Prinsengracht on the right.
