Location. A beachfront, adults-only property located three kilometers from downtown San José del Cabo, Mexico, Desire Resort & Spa Los Cabos stands within the hotel zone and across the street from the Commercial Mexicana shops.
Hotel Features. Nine restaurants and bars include Il Piacere that serves themed buffet-style Mexican, Mediterranean and seafood dinners. Tentazione Bar & Restaurant serves Italian cuisine at night and snacks during the day. The resort includes an Asian restaurant and a clothing-optional bar and lounge. Internet access is available for a fee. Recreational options include a long stretch of sandy beach and a freshwater outdoor pool that is set up for volleyball. A small fitness center houses a sauna and a steam bath. Tennis courts can be booked at a hotel one kilometer away, and a miniature golf course lies across the street. Motorized water-sport equipment can be rented at the beach. Spa services, such as Fango or Hot Stone massage, body wraps and facials are available upon request. Resort activities run the gamut from water aerobics and dance classes to adult entertainment. Property amenities include transportation to Los Cabos International Airport for a fee, and 24-hour front desk services.
Guestrooms. This all-inclusive hotel offers 151 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites with differing configurations. Select rooms are decorated in sophisticated style, with ivory color schemes and columned supports. Other accommodations feature dramatic, modern décor. All rooms offer ocean or garden views from balconies or patios. Guestroom amenities include satellite television, marble-tile bathrooms with bathrobes and slippers, CD players, and stocked minibars. Jacuzzi Suites provide spacious bathrooms with spa tubs, DVD players, candles, incense, afternoon hors d'oeuvres and welcome fruit baskets. Passion Suites offer private, round-trip transportation to and from the airport and concierge "no waiting" check-in service.
Expert Tip. San José Estuary is Los Cabos' only freshwater body, and can be reached by walking two kilometers along the beach.
