The hotel was constructed around a restored 17th-century palazzo, and features a courtyard with columns and a molded ceiling. Elevators display a Renaissance-era Grand Canal scene. Approximate distance to the hotel via the Piazzale Roma entry point is 13 kilometres.
From the airport, travel by water or by land across the lagoon to historical Venice. By water, the fastest and most expensive mode is by water taxi. Less expensive and slower is a boat that stops at other islands in the lagoon and terminates adjacent to St. Mark's Square, approximately 50 metres from the hotel. By land there are taxis and buses that travel from the airport to Piazzale Roma, the land-transportation terminus near the train station. From Piazzale Roma, and from the train station on the opposite side of Grand Canal, public waterbuses stop at various points along the Grand Canal and to other waterways.
