Location. A Condé Nast Traveler's 2005 Gold List, the Hotel Danieli is comprised of three interconnecting palaces dating from the 14th century, located in Venice, Italy. This five-star hotel is on Riva degli Shiavoni overlooking the Venice lagoon. St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace are all within 100 meters of the property. The Opera House, Rialto Bridge and Peggy Guggenheim Collection are 900 meters away.
Hotel Features. Panoramas of the Grand Canal, the Lido and Adriatic Sea are possible from the property. The hotel's main building is the original 14th century palace of Doge Dandolo. It is a Venetian gothic landmark, lavishly appointed with pink marble, stained glass, gold leaf columns, Murano-glass chandeliers and antiques. On the top floor of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, Restaurant Terrazza Danieli offers cuisine inspired by Venice's historic role as the crossroads between East and West, featuring the rich history of the Serenissima with panoramic views of Venice and its lagoon. Outdoor dining is available on the panoramic terrace from May or even earlier, weather permitting, until October. Bar Dandolo is set in the grand hallway of the hotel and features afternoon tea, snacks, drinks, cocktails, and live music each evening. The outdoor terrace bar on the top floor serves snacks, fresh drinks, fruit and classic cocktails from June through September.
