Distance to Hotel Alle Guglie is 20 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. ATVO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the city centre. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets cost 3 EUR. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. The number 15 bus runs between the airport and Venice-Mestre train station. At Piazzale Roma, water buses (vaporetto) are available. Vaporetti 42 and 51 stop at Guglie, outside the hotel. Private water taxis are available from the airport, but are typically very expensive. From Piazzale Rome, a water taxi costs about 25 EUR. A free bus service links the airport terminal to the airport jetty; from here, regular Alilaguna boats leave for the city. Single tickets cost 10 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Rio San Leonardo. Venice is best explored on foot or by public water buses (vaporetto). Three-day passes for the public water bus cost 25 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers can leave their cars at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto. Guests receive 20 per cent discount vouchers for parking at San Marco Garage in Piazzale Roma.
