Hotel Features. Modelled on a 17th-century Renaissance villa, Hotel Spendide Royal is set in a building dating back to 1880. The ornate lobby features marble flooring and antique artwork, and its chandelier featured in the 1963 film, Il Gattopardo (The Leopard).
The rooftop Mirabelle restaurant offers Michelin-starred cuisine, panoramic city views and alfresco terrace dining overlooking Villa Borghese. Specialities include terrine di foie gras and a signature chocolate dessert, Settimo Cielo (seventh heaven). Reservations and formal dress are required. The Splendide Royal hotel also offers room service.
