The Hotel San Francesco Al Monte is a sixteenth century convent with gardens situated overlooking the Gulf of Naples, one kilometre from the historic town centre. The 48 air-conditioned guestrooms are furnished in a traditional style; rooms are housed in original convent cells and retain many period features. All guestrooms have views of the Gulf of Naples, and include safes, minibars, direct-dial phones, satellite television and bathrooms with power showers or jetted tubs, bathrobes and hair dryers.
Guests can relax on a sun bed on the pretty seventh-floor roof terrace, and enjoy stunning views of the Gulf of Naples or a refreshing dip in the pool. In summer guests can eat at La Terrazza where Mediterranean cuisine is served in an elegant setting. Between October and April the restaurant I Barbanti is open and Mediterranean and Napolitan cuisine is served in a wing of the 16th century convent. Four banquet and meeting rooms are available; all have original features and medieval charm. Garage parking is on offer for those arriving by car, and the hotel's concierge will be happy to advise on local amenities and attractions. The old town, with its Castel Nuovo, Teatro San Carlo and Palazzo Reale is one kilometre away, and Naples city centre is two kilometres away. Naples Airport is approximately 10 kilometres and a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
