Getting there. The best way to get to Villa Diana is by bus shuttle to Milazzo. From Milazzo or Messina on Sicily, take a hydrofoil to Lipari Island.
Getting around. As the main island, Lipari is the transport hub of the Aeolian Islands. There are good bus services on Lipari and scooters are available for rent.
