The Hotel Nettuno is a modern property adjacent to a rocky beach and opposite majestic Mount Etna, located 4 kilometers from Catania's historic town centre. The hotel also offers a meeting room for business guests, a secure parking garage, and wireless Internet access (surcharge) covers all areas of the hotel. The hotel offers two restaurants: Bacco features contemporary furnishings, soft music and Sicilian specialities; Olimpo offers international dishes on a rooftop terrace available on a reservation only basis. As well as the nearby beach, guests can visit the shops, bars and streets of the historic and modern centre, which are both 600 metres away. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 14 kilometres from the hotel. Taxis are readily available outside the Arrivals terminal and should cost in the region of 25 EUR, each way. The best way to get around the historic centre is on foot. There is also a good bus and subway network. Tickets for both are valid for 90 minutes and must be purchased beforehand from tabacchi (tobacco stands) and news kiosks. Bus passes are valid on the metro and metro tickets are valid on the AMT bus network.
