Location. Opened in 2004, this former orphanage and restored 16th-century aristocratic villa is set in lush landscaped gardens surrounded by Tuscan countryside and situated nine kilometres from Florence. Vespucci Airport (FLR) is seven kilometres from the hotel , around 10 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. A long tree-lined driveway flanked by lush gardens leads guests up to the main building where a discreet entrance opens into the smart high-ceilinged lobby area. During the summer months, guests can soak up the sun around the outdoor pool on sun loungers, or take refuge with a drink under parasols while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Tuscan hills. A peaceful garden with ponds, fountains and lush greenery is also available to help guests unwind.
The Granducato Hotel's restaurant, Locando Toscana, has a farmhouse atmosphere with exposed beams and brick, red tiled floors low-lit with three large chandeliers, and more contemporary touches.
