Location. Hotel Il Palazzo is located in Assisi, Italy, in the historical heart of the town, 100 metres from the Basilica of Saint Francis, and 300 metres from the Roman Temple of Minerva. Assisi's railway station is five kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Il Palazzo occupies a wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, built in the 16th century by local architect Giulio Danti, and still run by his descendants. The first floor salon features 18th-century canvas wall paintings by Antonio Nessi. Multilingual staff at the front desk can assist with tourist queries, and secure valuables in the safe-deposit box. Limited hours room service is available, and there is parking nearby.
