Location. The purpose-built Dublin Skylon Hotel is located in Dublin, Ireland. The hotel is within one kilometre of Croke Park, and three-and-a-half kilometres from Trinity College. Dublin International Airport (DUB) is five kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The five-storey Dublin Skylon Hotel is set back from the busy Drumcondra Road, its main gates leading to complimentary parking. The hotel is carrying out renovation work at the rear of the hotel, due for completion in May 2007. All existing facilities are open and disruption is expected to be minimal.
The Fayre City Bistro has full-length windows along one side, buttermilk walls and green-and- red upholstered chairs. Breakfast and dinner are on the menu here, as well as Sunday lunch. The split-level sports bar, located off the lobby, has a combination of upholstered couches and leather armchairs, and bar seating. Hot meals and a carvery are served at lunchtime, and bar snacks in the evening.
There are meeting rooms for small groups and a coin-operated Internet terminal in the lobby. Currency exchange and tour assistance are available in reception.

From Dublin International Airport (DUB):
Distance to the Dublin Skylon Hotel is five kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Number 747 and 748 Airlink buses connect the airport to Dublin city centre, and depart every 15 minutes. Tickets can be bought from the driver and the single fare is about 5 EUR. A 24-hour service to central Dublin and Dublin South is offered by Aircoach. Local bus services regularly depart from the arrivals terminal, connecting to destinations throughout the city and its suburbs. Taxis cost about 18 EUR-20 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The Dublin Skylon Hotel is one kilometre from Croke Park. Dublin city centre and Temple Bar's cobbled streets can easily be explored on foot. Dublin's extensive double-decker bus system and tram network operate throughout the city and the suburbs. Taxis are available at ranks, and can also be hailed on the street. Parking in the city centre is limited and expensive, but a car is recommended for exploring further afield. The hotel has complimentary onsite parking.
