Location. Originally a matching pair of red- brick Palazzo houses designed and built by John Ensor, the Castle is one of Dublin's oldest hotels, having been open since 1809. The hotel is centrally located, one kilometre from Temple bar and Trinity College. Dublin Airport is five kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.
Hotel Features. The Castle Hotel is galleried on every floor and features two centrally positioned period staircases. Much of the original plasterwork has been restored but it still retains many of the original fireplaces. An Irish breakfast is served every morning, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Other amenities include a 24-hour front desk and onsite parking (surcharge).
The Castle Bar and Restaurant is a traditional Georgian pub offering a selection of bar meals and drinks.
Guestrooms. The 47 guestrooms are individually decorated with reproduction antique furniture; all include cable television, coffee/tea- making facilities, direct-dial phones, complimentary newspapers and bathrooms.

Driving Directions - Castle Hotel
Getting there. Aircoach offers operates a service between Dublin's city centre and the airport, 24 hours, every day. Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver and cost approximately 10 EUR (return). A taxi direct to the Castle Hotel will cost around 25 EUR. Dublin's extensive bus network (green double- deckers) serves the centre and the suburbs. Taxis are expensive and can be hard to come by. Parking is scarce, but a car is a great way to get off the beaten track; the centre of Dublin is best explored on foot.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the main road through Drumcondria, following the signs for the city centre. Turn left into Temple Street, then right into Denmark Street.
