Simantro Beach Hotel is a colourful Byzantine-style wood and stone building set on a white, sandy beach surrounded by pine trees, with distant views of Mount Olympus. This two-storey floor hotel features 325 guestrooms, all of which have sea or garden views. The guestrooms are smartly furnished in a traditional Greek style with light walls and antique-style dark wood furniture. All are air- conditioned and open onto balconies. The all-inclusive room rate includes breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant; snacks and refreshments from snack bars, and soft drinks, mineral water and local beers and wines during lunch and dinner.
Guests can soak up the sun next to one of the hotel's three swimming pools, and cool off with a drink from the poolside bar serving cocktails, coffees and freshly- squeezed fruit juices. The hotel gardens lead to a beach surrounded by pine trees with fine, white sand and a long stretch of shallow water for safe swimming; a number of water sports, including water skiing, scuba diving, and windsurfing, are also available here. Children are kept entertained by the many activities at the mini-club, as well as in the playground, games room, and kids' pool. Staff organise games and entertainment throughout the day and evening, and a Greek evening is held once a week when guests can try out traditional Greek dancing. The hotel's main restaurant is furnished in a traditional Greek style and serves international and local buffet dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the Olympus Taverna offers outdoor seating from which to enjoy the sunsets over Mount Olympus. Guests can visit the traditional village of Afitos 17 kilometres from the hotel or take in the sights and sounds of the market at Nea Moudania 25 kilometres away. Thessaloniki Airport is 75 kilometres from the hotel, approximately 50 minutes by car.
