From Santorini Airport (JTR):
Distance to Hotel Makarios is 10 kilometres, approximately 5 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport to the resorts cost around 15 EUR-25 EUR. A bus runs to Fira bus station every two hours, and single tickets cost 1 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Bicycles are available for hire at most resorts. Regular local buses run to destinations throughout Santorini. Ferries depart from Fira port to other nearby islands. A cable car is available for travelling up the volcano. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas of the island.
