Distance to IBIS Hotel Bastei is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. From the airport, take the high-speed train connection to the main train station. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. From the main train station, take the Prager Strasse/City exit. Cross the Wiener Platz square and walk to Prager Straße, 300 metres away. Taxis from the airport to the city centre cost approximately 20 EUR. An airport coach departs every 30 minutes for the city centre, and the fare is around 15 EUR. Bus numbers 77 and 97 run towards the city centre every 10 minutes; alight at Infineon Nord and take a tram into the centre. The fare is about 2 EUR for a single ticket. Prices all subject to change.
Getting around. Dresden operates an integrated, comprehensive public transport system of suburban trains, trams and buses. Ferries run along the river Elbe, and a funicular railway runs between Loschwitz, the Weisser Hirsch and Oberloschwitz.
Driving directions. From the A17 motorway, take the Dresden-Sudvorstadt exit.
Continue for four kilometres in the direction of the centre (Zentrum).
