Getting there.
Getting around. The centre of Cologne can be explored on foot, with streets such as Hohe Strasse, Schildergasse, and Breite Strasse being pedestrianised, and many main attractions centred around the Altstadt on the left bank of the Rhine. Transferable tickets (VRS) can be used on the bus, tram, underground, and the RE (RegionalExpress), RB (RegionalBahn), and S-Bahn trains. Train-only tickets are also available. All ticket types can be bought at ticket vending machines, found at Cologne's train stations. At bus, underground, and tram stops, it is only possible to purchase VRS tickets.
