Driving Directions - Royal County Hotel
From London Heathrow Airport (LHR):
Distance to the Royal County Hotel is 25 miles, approximately 35 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A taxi to the hotel costs 40 GBP. The hotel also operates an airport shuttle service (surcharge). The Heathrow Express train departs from the airport every 15 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Paddington Station in central London. The journey is non-stop and costs 14.50 GBP. Trains can be caught from here to Reading station. Coaches operate from the airport to Reading. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Reading town centre is easy to negotiate on foot. Buses and trains connect with some destinations near to the hotel.
Driving directions. From the airport join the M25 and follow signs to the M4.
At junction 15 take the exit for the M4 and head West.
Exit the M4 at junction 10, take the A329 towards Reading Head into the town.
When road splits take the left fork onto the London Road.
Pass by the Royal Berkshire Hospital on the left and then turn right just after the Murco garage into Sidmouth Street.
At the end of Sidmouth Street turn right at the traffic lights and stay in the left-hand lane.
Follow the one way system around to the left into Watlington Street.
Turn left here at the filter traffic lights onto the Kings Road.
Turn left at the traffic lights.
The hotel is immediately on the right.
Go past the hotel and take the cobbled road on the right into the hotel car park.
