Location. The Los Lagos #7 is located in the Casa De Campo Resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The Casa De Campo is a private property that spans over 7,000 acres and features over 1,500 private vacation homes. Built on the bluffs above the Chavon River gorge in the resort complex, The Altos de Chavon is a faithful replica of a 16th-century Italian village that was hand-constructed from stone, wood and iron. The Teeth of the Dog golf course, designed by Pete Dye, is one of the highest ranked courses in the Caribbean and is located in Casa De Campo.
Features. This Spanish-inspired villa is located on a private cul de sac and overlooks a lake on the Teeth of the Dog golf course. Coral stone floors, tropical furnishings, beamed wooden ceilings and an open plan with French louvered doors that lead directly outside accent the decor of the Los Lagos #7. Two full time maids/cooks and a gardener staff the property, and complimentary meal preparation is provided three times a day. The villa provides a terra cotta tiled sundeck, private pool, hot tub and covered palapa bar. Fees apply for Casa De Campo activities and amenities such as tennis, horseback riding, polo, trapshooting, fitness center, children's activities and a selection of water sports. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Los Lagos #7 all feature air-conditioning, cable television with DVD players and a stereo. Private bathrooms are available in all rooms. Four guestrooms are located in the main house while the fifth guestroom is located in the private poolside guesthouse. The master suite features an outdoor coral stone shower, private office and a sitting room.
Expert Tip. A catamaran offers shuttling for a fee from the harbor of Altos de Chavon to the uninhabited island of Catalina for relaxing on the beaches or snorkeling excursions.
