In the Barrio Amon in the center of downtown San Jose, the Santo Tomas is only 25 kilometers (14 miles) east of the Juan Santamaria Airport, and within walking distance of shopping and tourist attractions such as the National Zoo, the Gold Museum and the National Museum and Theater.
The Santo Tomas Hotel is the only San Jose hotel with an outdoor solar-heated pool and spa tub, as well as a children's pool, set in a colorful, lush floral garden.
