The Sheraton Xian Hotel is adjacent to the West Second Ring Road, only minutes away from the new Xian Developing Zone of High Technology Industries and 45 minutes from the Xian Xianyang International Airport. The major scenic and historical spots are all easily accessible from this hotel. One such attraction near Xian, in the province of Shaanxi, is the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's and his Terra cotta Warriors. Approximately 7,000 life size terra cotta warrior figures from 209 B.C. are buried here with the first emperor of China. This archeological find was discovered by accident in 1974 was built for the emperor so he could keep control of his army in the afterlife. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are in the city center, six kilometers from from the Sheraton, and Xian is also surrounded by and ancient City Wall, three kilometers from this hotel.
