Location. Dating from the 1930s, Hotel Le Plaza is close to the Rue Neuve shopping district in central Brussels, Belgium. The Art Deco-style hotel is within onekilometre of the Grand Place, Chocolate Museum and Manneken Pis. Place Rogier is the nearest metro station to the hotel. Brussels Airport (BRU) is 16 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Le Plaza's lobby features carved white marble ceilings, brocaded drapes and chandeliers. Classical music plays softly and there are complimentary newspapers.
An American breakfast is served (surcharge) in the Breakfast Room, decorated in gold and crimson tones with embroidered drapes. A large dome painted to depict a blue sky is the centrepiece of L'Esterel Restaurant, which has marble panels, arched windows and elaborate stuccowork. From Brussels Airport (BRU):
Distance to Hotel Le Plaza is 16 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The airport's railway station is located below the terminal building on the basement level, and is accessible by elevator. Airport City Express trains leave every 10-30 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight, and travel to the city's three main stations. Single fares cost 2.60 EUR. Metered taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a blue and yellow emblem. The journey to the centre of Brussels takes about 20 minutes and costs 30 EUR-40 EUR. De Lijn buses run to the city every 45 minutes. Prices are all subject to change.
