The Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino is located on a private beach on Piscadera Bay, on the island of Curacao, Netherland Antilles, world-renowned for its white sand beaches and extraordinary coral reefs. Located across the street from the Curacao International Trade Center, this resort offers a green oasis three miles north of Willemstad, Curacao's capital city. With colonial architecture and a beautiful harbor entry, Willemstad has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site. Other attractions near the resort are the Museum Kurá Hulanda, the floating market, Christoffel National Park and the Amstel Brewery.
With six oceanfront acres, the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort and Emerald Casino offers 247 spacious non smoking guestrooms in a Dutch colonial-style building facing the ocean. Accommodations include balconies or ground-floor patios, all furnished with chairs and cocktail tables. The air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated with sheer white drapes, gold and red carpeting and yellow walls. Amenities include high-speed Internet access, satellite television and compact refrigerators. The hotel's central courtyard has a free-form pool and a children's pool. Two other courtyards contain large, cross-shaped spa tubs in wooden pavilions, with shaded lounge chairs on surrounding decks.
The resort features the 5,000-square-foot Emerald Casino, open from early afternoon to 3:30 a.m. The resort also includes a health club with sauna, steam rooms, and spa services such as massage, reflexology and body wraps. An on-site water sports center rents kayaks, personal watercraft and small sailboats, and offers snorkeling and diving trips.
The Curacao Marriott Beach Resort and Emerald Casino provides various dining and entertainment venues including the Seabreeze Beach Bar and Grill, and Portofino, which serves Italian cuisine daily. The Emerald Lounge offers plasma televisions and a dance floor.
Please note: The hotel will be renovating its swimming pool from 16 November 2009 to 6 December 2009 (completion date subject to change). Every effort will be made to minimize noise and disturbance. Guests will have complimentary access to the pool at one of the resort’s sister hotels.
